My Genuine Bio
Let’s face it, bios are a bore, pumping up and parading past accomplishments so the reader will, theoretically, know who to pay attention to. Well, pay attention to me or don't. I’ve been ignored plenty of times before and I can take it.
So here’s my true bio: I’ve spent my life playing; playing instruments, playing with notes, playing with words, playing in the woods, playing with friends and lovers. And yes, even playing with puppets. I have spent, and continue to spend, as much time as possible in flow state, seeing the next surprise to come my way.
From the solitude and comfort of my little studio (one for everywhere I’ve ever hung my hat) I have been explorer, archeologist (trying to uncover the song beneath the detritus) and (I suppose) an incorrigible kid.
It has been, and continues to be, a good life. Like most folks, I’ve had my fair share of heartache, disappointment and even a smattering of tragedy, but it all seems to come with the package. I suppose I’ve reached the age where my rock & roll has turned to walk & stroll, but it’s still a most pleasant journey, and I’m in no great hurry to get there, wherever “there” might be.
We should all play as much as we can. Instead of asking what is the meaning of life (whatever that’s supposed to mean) we should be asking, “What’s next?”
And that’s what I’m asking you now.
But in the meantime, given the current societal trajectory that there’s no such thing as too much distraction, I invite you to waste yet more of your precious time and take a stroll through my plethora of caterwaulings.
Have fun. Time is short. And getting shorter.
